It just baffles me that the fandom menace types think that all the problems they've been complaining about in media all these years came from the bottom up and can be fixed by the heroic Hollywood executives firing all their employees.
-Writing is too preachy and political? Well that's probably because studios want to appear as allies to left-wing causes and mandate messages be written in with that purpose.
-Movies are too sanitized? That's because the executives want to make sure they don't offend anyone for fear of public backlash. Hence they keep tight rein on what the writers do.
-Diversity quotas instead of sincere diversity? Literal top-down diversity, equity, and inclusion policies mandate such things.
-Actors being blacklisted for political opinions? Executives are the ones who hire and fire people, and are thus responsible for all such blacklisting.
-Antagonizing the fans? Done selectively as a means of trying to promote shows and create a movement around supporting a show. So people who don't like it are viewed negatively.
If you don't like the current direction of Hollywood and it's writing, you should really hope the strike succeeds. At least that's some kind of black eye to Hollywood and would reduce the influence of its executives.

"the strike could stretch on until the end of summer" or the execs could pay their workers
"there won't be ANY new shows because of this strike" or the execs could pay their workers
"no more content for us because the mean old writers and actors are-" OR THE EXECS COULD PAY THEIR WORKERS
"writers deserve attention more than actors" literally only 2% of actors can pay the bills with acting. For every megastar on screen there are a dozen other people in the shot who are SAG. Acting gets so glamorized but there are SO MANY people in SAG who NEED residuals to live on. Background Party Girl #4 needs her check too!!!! There are people who play recurring characters on syndicated shows who cant afford health insurance!!! Ke Huy Quan gave an oscar winning performance and LOST HIS HEALTH INSURANCE the next year.
